reconciliation（リコンシリエイション）の意味
あんまり聞かない単語ですよね。
政治ニュースを読んでいると出てくる単語です。
最近では、選挙に負けたトランプ大統領が、
Donald Trump has now turned on the Capitol rioters, a day after telling them he “loved them”, and attempted to call for a moment of “healing and reconciliation."
と言ったことが印象的でした。
reconciliationの意味
reconciliationは「和解」という意味です。
「和解、調停、調和、一致」という意味が含まれており、「仲直り」という意味で使用します。
Tom and Sam had a reconciliation a few days after their fight
トムとサムはけんかをして数日後仲直りした。
They scorned our attempts at reconciliation.
彼らは我々の和解の試みを鼻の先で笑ってはねつけた。
動詞にすると、reconciliateです。
